Letter: Make some sense

Editor: I'm not on the Board of Supervisors or a city council and I don't hold any public office, but if you or I did we would probably apply at least a little common sense to the decisions we make. The placement of the latest tent city on Santa Fe Drive is beyond belief. Even the homeless advocates think unemployment is the root of their problem, so why would you put the new camp in a place where prospective tenants of the nearby industrial park, tenants of the empty commercial buildings or families visiting UC Merced can see?
