Letter: Solar is Valley’s calling

Editor: Sen. Dianne Feinstein has made a crusade of saving Mojave Desert land, even at the cost of collapsing the solar energy industry and the economic activity that comes with it. Lamentable as this is, the San Joaquin Valley is the second best place for solar projects and thus it behooves us to aggressively court this emerging industry. For once, the Valley could be a leader in technology implementation instead of a perennial bottom dweller.
